This week we sat down with Rachel Duitch, the VP of Licensing at FanPrint. FanPrint is unique clothing line that sells T-shirts with customizable player designs for passionate fans. Rachel was nice enough to share how having a solid affiliate program has helped their business grow.
How did FanPrint come to be? What’s your company’s ‘story’?
FanPrint was selected by a tech incubator back in 2013. We first started working one-on-one with professional athletes and did marketing for them.
We quickly realized the way to grow and scale was getting league deals and licensing so that we could put official assets onto apparel.
We’re not a traditional commerce store — we specialize in having super-targeted and unique apparel for fans.
How has having an affiliate program affected FanPrint’s business?
Having a solid affiliate program in place has significantly increased sales in the past six months. Our reach has greatly expanded.
That’s why building an awesome affiliate network has become a top priority for us.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned about affiliate management?
That our affiliates are extremely smart and motivated! They know what they’re doing and work hard to get it done. It’s a lot of fun to work with people who are so self-motivated.
How do you use Refersion for your business?
Refersion helps us to keep track of all of our affiliates. We use the tool to make sure our affiliates have what they need in order to be successful.
We also have been working on an affiliate dashboard collaboration with Refersion. The team has been helping us build the best possible tool for running our own affiliate program.
What’s the best part about working at FanPrint?
It’s the perfect place for a sports junkie like me! I love the culture and it’s great being able to work virtually. We’re able to get the best people from around the country by not being inhibited by location.
How would you define success at FanPrint?
Growth! Every year we want to be a bigger and better version of ourself!
Do you have any cool projects in the pipeline?
Yes! We’re excited to announce a much-anticipated partnership with NFL. Our NFL partnership is launching later this month, so be on the lookout for some cool merchandise!
